The deal for Missile Approach Confirmation Sensors, or MACS, is not the first time Bird Aerosystems has equipped Mi-17 helos. It previously supplied airborne missile protection systems to the United Nations’ Mi-17 fleet operating in Africa. Read more

Israel’s Bird Aerosystems has delivered its Airborne Missile Protection Systems (AMPS) to a VIP customer in Africa, which will protect a presidential Boeing 737 aircraft.
BIRD Aerosystems has successfully trialled its Ocean Surveillance Control and Reconnaissance solution OSCAR in Africa. During the trial, the OSCAR system was operated for a customer in Africa, and applied machine-learning algorithms on real-time maritime data sources such as satellite and terrestrial AIS, satellite SAR/EO/IR, LRIT, coastal radars and tactical sensors used to detect, analyse and prioritise suspicious vessels.
