BIRD Aerosystems successfully delivered a large order of its 2nd generation Mission Computers (MCDU) to an undisclosed customer.  The 2nd generation of the MCDU manages and controls the AMPS self protection system and includes more advanced capabilities and additional interfaces to external systems or sub-systems imbedded in a small size airborne computer that can be easily fitted on all types of aircraft.

BIRD Aerosystems Ltd. is a privately owned company established in 2001 and based in Israel. BIRD specializes in providing Airborne Missile Self Protection Systems (AMPS) that protects military, civil and VIP aircraft against Man-Portable Air Defense Systems (MANPADS) and Airborne Surveillance, Information and Observation (ASIO) systems for Maritime and ground surveillance missions.
