Herzliya, Israel, December 2014 – BIRD Aerosystems
BIRD Aerosystems successfully completes the testing and certification of the AMPS system on two Mi-17 helicopters used for peace keeping missions around the world.
AMPS-M provides full threat coverage, a very low false alarm rate and maximum warning time for the deployment of appropriate countermeasures, ensuring the highest level of protection for crew and aircraft.
Additionally the AMPS system is the only self-protection system certified on Mi-8/17 helicopters including the appropriate Service Bulletins issued by the MIL Design Bureau. The system has been installed by many of the leading MIL-approved Maintenance Repair Organizations (MRO) around the world on different types of Mi-8/17.
