Herzliya, Israel, February 2015 – BIRD Aerosystems Ltd.
BIRD Aerosystems have initiated the integration process for providing the ASIO special mission aircraft solution for an undisclosed customer in a Maritime Patrol.
As part of the delivery contract, BIRD will provide the customer with surveillance aircraft installed with multiple sensors and multiple sub-systems. The BIRD mission management system (MSIS) integrates all the physical components and software into a single interface. The MSIS advanced management system reduces the workload of the airborne mission crew. It enables the crew efficiently to complete detection and classification of only the relevant targets whilst also sharing the information in real-time between the airborne platform, ground C&C station and naval ships.
BIRD Aerosystems Ltd. is a privately owned company established in 2001 and based in Israel. BIRD specializes in providing Airborne Missile Self Protection Systems (AMPS) that protects military, civil and VIP aircraft against Man-Portable Air Defense Systems (MANPADS) and Airborne Surveillance, Information and Observation (ASIO) systems for maritime and ground surveillance missions.

This program is part of a follow-up program with the Czech Air Force that has been protecting its helicopters with the AMPS system for the last 15 years and has deployed them in the most complex environments, such as Afghanistan.
