BIRD Aerosystems specializes in the development of Airborne Surveillance, Intelligence and Observation (ASIO) solutions and Airborne Missile Protection Systems (AMPS).

BIRD’s AMPS protects helicopters, wide body aircraft and commercial airliners against the threats of SAM and MANPADS. The AMPS is a NATO standard system and is certified by EUROCOPTER (an EADS company) and MIL Design Bureau. The system's large installation base currently includes, among others, NATO armed forces, the United Nations (UN) air operations and the US Government.

BIRD’s ASIO is a highly customizable, Compact  Special Mission Aircraft (C-SMA) solution that provides decision makers and field commanders with accurate, real-time ISR information to ensure around-the-clock, wide-area terrestrial and marine surveillance.

BIRD enjoys extensive cooperation with CASSIDIAN (an EADS company) in the worldwide marketing of the jointly developed ASIO and AMPS solutions, both of which incorporate in-depth knowledge of current airborne operational requirements.
